Linda: I never saw myself as healthy…until now.
I’ve been overweight since I was little and I always knew I was fat. This is the first time I’ve ever thought of myself as someone who could be healthy.
Probably the biggest change is giving myself credit for what I do instead of beating myself up all the time.
Like I started adding missing foods to my diet, like a piece of fruit in the afternoon and some kind of vegetable at dinner. Before, I didn’t eat fruits or veggies at all.
I also started checking off every day on my calendar that I got some kind of exercise. I’m pretty sure my lab results will be better next time I go to the doctor.
