Rebekah: I Can Do This For The Rest Of My Life
I’ve joined gyms, I took yoga classes for awhile, and I’ve definitely done different diets, but I just never stuck with any of it.
For one thing, I could never see myself doing any of that stuff forever. I didn’t like the gym at all, I felt like I had to be in shape before I joined.
And it seemed like every diet had this list of food that I was supposed to never eat again. Or I was supposed to cook everything from scratch. I mean, I like to cook, but I work and my husband does too. We just don’t have time for all that.
This is the program that feels like I can do this for the rest of my life.
We came up with a list of restaurants and items to order that I like and that are good for me. I actually am cooking more, but I have backup plans for snacks when that fits the schedule better.
I’m more active than I’ve been in years, and yet I haven’t done a single thing that made me miserable or left me sore for days.
I don’t weigh myself every day and yet I can tell my clothes are fitting differently and I do think my blood tests will be better at my next doctor’s visit.
This has really been eye-opening for me. It’s more like a way of life than a workout program or diet.
I really can see myself doing this forever.
